Big Changes Ahead at CPGjobsIt’s hard to believe, but the holidays are behind us (did they ever happen at all?) and it’s time to get back down to business.

Here at CPGjobs, 2010 saw the launch of the all new CPGjobs Blog as well as unprecedented growth in our candidate database, site traffic and the number of jobs posted by new and returning clients. The end of last year also brought significant change to CPGjobs’ business model.

Last June, CPGjobs began a series of candidate survey projects to uncover those services considered most valuable to CPG Professionals when managing their careers. Our candidates were very candid with us, clearly signaling what features they most wanted, and whether or not they were willing to pay and how much they were willing to pay for expanded service levels.

In December, we launched a voluntary Paid Candidate Membership, available to all new and currently registered candidates on CPGjoblist. After 14 years of offering one-to-one services to candidates for free, moving to a paid candidate model was a difficult decision for us to make. However, we believe that making this change will have a number of positive impacts on CPGjobs’ service delivery to clients including:

  • Increased candidate involvement with CPGjoblist; improving exposure for posted jobs
  • Improved candidate screening services for clients
  • Upgrades to the CPGjoblist candidate job search functionality; making your jobs easier to search and find
  • Improved social networking services for clients posting jobs; expanding the reach of your positions posted on CPGjoblist.

The initial candidate response to Paid Membership has been very positive and we are encouraged by the extraordinary support we are receiving from candidates on this change.

We anticipate 2011 will bring numerous improvements to both the candidate and client experience at CPGjobs and I’m very excited about the opportunity to offer you even better service levels and even more qualified, CPG-experienced candidates as the year progresses.

If you have any questions about how Paid Candidate Membership will impact CPGjobs, please feel free to contact me at michael.carrillo@cpgjobs, or by phone at 626-535-0143.

Wishing you continued success in the coming year,

Michael Carrillo
