Beanfields was founded in 2011 by Reed Glidden, his wife Liza Braude-Glidden and Reed’s brother, Roy Glidden. They started with a big idea—to help change the way Americans eat. Our primary goal is to help improve the global food supply by creating delicious, plant-based, Non-GMO snacks, with beans as the primary ingredient.
Reed had over 20 years of experience in the natural foods industry and his brother, almost as much. Liza was new to the industry. She was a fourth-generation natural foods consumer. Liza became the Betsy Ross of Beanfields by rolling out the first batch of bean and rice chips in the family kitchen.
Beanfields remains a fast-growing family-owned brand, now selling bean and rice chips all over the United States, Canada, and in Australia and other countries. In 2013, Beanfelds became a certified B Corp, using business as a force for good by meeting third-party standards for sustainability and social justice. The feel-good experience of Beanfields doesn’t end with the satisfying crunch and the mouthwatering flavors; Beanfields is a company you can feel good about supporting.
