Phoenix area based or willing to relocate to Phoenix Area
Know the craft beer world and love building relationships that turn into lasting business? Proximity Malt is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to grow our presence across Arizona and Southern California.
You’ll spend time with brewers, learn what they need from their malt, and help them find the right products for their beers. This is a field sales role for someone who enjoys getting in front of customers, following an opportunity from first conversation through brewing trial, and earning the next order.
What you’ll do
- Develop new brewery customers and grow existing accounts across your territory.
- Meet with brewers, understand their products and purchasing needs, and present Proximity Malt’s offerings.
- Coordinate samples and brewing trials, follow up on results, and move opportunities toward a sale.
- Prepare proposals and close sales within approved pricing and contract guidelines.
- Work with customer service, accounting, and internal sales to support orders and resolve customer concerns.
- Keep your pipeline and customer activity current in our CRM, and share what you’re seeing in the market.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in food products, brewing, or the alcoholic beverage industry; craft brewery or distillery experience is especially valuable.
- A track record of developing business and building strong customer relationships.
- The ability to manage a territory independently while staying connected with the broader team.
- Strong follow-through, organization, and comfort using a CRM and Excel.
- Three to five years of sales and marketing experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is also preferred.
Compensation
This role offers a base salary plus commission, with the opportunity to increase your earnings as you grow sales across the territory. The posted pay range reflects an estimated total compensation, including base salary and commission. Actual earnings will vary based on experience and sales performance.
Travel is a significant part of this role. You should expect to be on the road frequently, often multiple days each week, with regular overnight trips throughout Arizona and Southern California. The position is based in the greater Phoenix area.
If you know how to connect with brewers and are excited to help grow Proximity Malt in the Southwest, we’d like to hear from you.
